Karen Sasso - Lead vocals, percussion, drums
Karen is an experienced vocalist and drummer who has performed with a variety of bands and musicians over the last two decades, including The Accents, Derailed and Broken Lies. Her exceptional, energetic performances make her one of the truly outstanding and unique musicians in the Capital District, and should not be missed. By day, Karen works in the insurance industry.
Alexandra Higgins - Lead vocals
Alex's musical background began in childhood, when she sang in church choirs. That early experience soon spurred an interest in folk, rhythm and blues and classic rock, giving her voice a sweet, definitive timbre. Her previous project, The Braided Souls, allowed her vocal talents to become increasingly diversified, giving AMF something truly extraordinary. Alex is an interior designer by trade as well as an oil painter and sculptor. Recently she picked up an acoustic guitar that she has a hard time putting down.
Stu Feuerstein - Lead and rhythm guitar, vocals
Stu, on the high end of the age spectrum of the group, picked up the guitar over four decades ago. His proficiency, experience, and extensive knowledge come from his involvement in both the Capital Region and Metropolitan music scenes from the early 60's to the present day. His strong voice complements the band's well-rounded vocal capabilities. He has played with a variety of successful bands, including Vintage Nights, Derailed and Broken Lies. He also enjoys the recent freedom of retirement after many years as an administrator for the State of New York.
Pat Ginnelly - Lead guitars, vocals
Pat "Ginsu" Ginnelly still has the Fender Stratocaster his parents bought him in 1984, which served as the catalyst for his lifelong obsession with collecting guitars. Classically trained from an early age, Pat possesses staggering chops, an encyclopedia-style song memory and a passion for Bigfoot. He is equally comfortable playing Slayer or Shania Twain. Previous projects include SECOND HAND SMOKE and Area 51.
Mark Bertini-Colon - Keyboards, vocals
Originally from Connecticut, Mark has played the keys for over 20 years. Instructed as a youth on clarinet and alto sax, he soon applied these skills to the piano while also developing skills on rhythm guitar, bass and drums. Mark has performed in numerous original and cover bands throughout the Northeast, most recently with classic rockers Goodfoot. Noteworthy performances include sharing the stage with WISHBONE ASH, Modern Rocker PAT MCGEEand showcasing at the world-famous BITTER END in New York City, where he met his wife of 12 years. His little 5-year-old rocker Suzanna is already gearing up to blow Sheila E. off the stage one day.
Tony Gabriele - Bass guitar
Tony has over ten years experience in the Capital District music scene, playing in such bands as VEHICLE, The Usual Suspects and Ruhle Road. Heavily influenced by many of the industry's great funk bassists, his infectious style cements the foundation of The Almighty Frequencies with ridiculously thick, swanky grooves.
Bill Ketzer - Drums, percussion, vocals
With over 20 years of session and touring experience, Bill has provided his solid backbeat for a number of regional and national bands, including Moon Ska recording artists Can't Say and punk legends THE EROTICS. He is also no stranger to the local circuit, drumming and singing in cover projects like The Switch Band and SECOND HAND SMOKE. Bill currently studies drum theory under the guidance of jazz great TED MACKENZIE, who was taught by Henry Adler, JIM CHAPIN and Sonny Igoe. By day he is a policy analyst for the NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY and a contributing writer for METROLAND MAGAZINE, DIRT RAG and other publications.
